    Hello, my name is Mark Bauer and I am currently the Heat United Soccer Club President. My family has been a part of the HUSC since 2010. I have three sons who play at different levels of the club. I've been an active member of our club for many years. I served as VP of Operations for three years and have recently taken over the Presidents role. I’m hoping to continue to keep the club growing and thriving. Looking forward to getting to know more of your families and your children.

    Coach Nick began coaching youth soccer in 2005 in Huntley coaching over 38 different teams ages preschool through U14. Currently coaching U13 Girls & U13 Boys Red teams with Heat United. When not coaching at the fields, Nick is active playing in nearby adult leagues (including the Heat indoor adult league). Nick also stays up past everyone's bed time tending to club operations as Executive Vice President (and previously VP of Operations).

    Coaching Licenses and Diplomas: United States Soccer Federation (USSF) National "D" license, USSF National Youth License, Coerver Coaching Youth Diploma, NSCAA Goalkeeper Diploma. Nick is certified in First Aid and CPR (including AED).

    Coach Jeremy has been playing soccer since the age of 6 and has coached youth soccer in the Huntley Area since 2012. Jeremy currently coaches the U9, U12 & U14 Boys teams.

    Jeremy is passionate about soccer, music, art and family. He has over 30 years of playing experience and still currently plays in his free time. He holds a (USSF) National "C" License.     Coach Kris has been playing soccer since 1973 and has coached thirty seasons at Huntley High School. His thirty seasons include seven Fox Valley Conference Championships, thirteen Regional titles, four Sectional titles, and a Final Four appearance.

    Kris is passionate about soccer, golf, and his family. He has spent 46 years playing and/or coaching soccer. He holds a (USSF) National "D" License. Kris was a two sport athlete in college. He was an All-America tennis player at Lewis and Clark Community College in his hometown of Godfrey, Illinois. Kris went on to play and captain his team at Illinois State University where is named to the All Missouri Valley Conference Team.

    Coach Nina Barreto's love for soccer started at the early age of 5. Nina played for an Elite club team traveling to numerous tournaments across the country. She started all four years on varsity for Huntley High School. Then went on to play as a left midfielder at Judson University. When her collegiate soccer career ended she went to get my E license and started coaching for Heat United in the fall of 2013. Nina currently coaches the Kinder Kickers and U8 Academy. Soccer has always been a huge part of her life and she is extremely happy to share her passion for this amazing sport with the youth and hope they enjoy it as much as she does.

  • U10 Girls Rick Ceh

    Coach Rick played at Elgin Community College where he was a two year captain and two time academic all-conference player. He was the winner of the Dick Durrant Award (which is awarded to the top student-athlete for all sports in the Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference). He holds a USSF A License, USSF national Youth License, NSCAA Premier Diploma, NSCAA Youth Diploma, Coerver Youth Diploma, PCA Double Goal Certificate, First Aid-CPR Certificate and is a USSF Grade 8 referee.

    Coach Rick is also an IYSA coaching education instructor, ODP Region 2 staff coach, and an Illinois ODP head coach. Coach Rick has received "Coach of the Year" multiple times, including the IYSA 2017 Competitive Coach of the year. Rick is a 9 time marathoner and a Spartan Race competitor (completing the Spartan Trifecta in 2017).

    Coach John is in his ninth year with Heat United. Coach John first started coaching travel soccer in New Jersey in the late 1980s. Coach John holds a USSF National D license.

    With a coaching philosophy based on fun and solid fundamentals, he often coaches U13-U14 boys and girls, helping prepare them for high school soccer.

    A competitive runner in high school and college, coach John competed in a number of state and national competitions. Focusing on soccer after college, Coach John played adult recreational and competitive soccer for more than 20 yrs in IL, NJ, NY, OH, PA, England, and Scotland.

    In the past Coach John has served Heat United both as club president and as referee assignor.

    He is married to Beth and has two sons, Sean (a 2017 Illinois State graduate) and Brendan, a junior at the University of Notre Dame. Both boys also attended Huntley High School and Heineman Middle School, which is why Coach John teases his players who attend Marlowe.

    Coach Brian began coaching at the high school level at Conant High School in 1993. He started as the head coach for the sophomore boys, team and also served as an assistant varsity boys coach for 8 years. In 1996, he was selected as the Head Varsity Girls Coach and led the girls soccer program at Conant High School for 10 seasons before retiring to focus on coaching his own children. Brian joined Heat United in 2005.

    Coach Brian holds a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) National "C" License and a A.C.E.P. Certification.

    Coach Rick currently coaches the ’99 Girls, ’00 Girls, ’01 Girls, ’00 Boys and is the Head coach for the Elgin Community College Women's soccer team. Coach Rick played at Elgin Community College where he was a two year captain and two time academic all-conference player.
